James St Kids Cake Haus Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all paid, bookable workshop sessions conducted as part of the James St Cake Haus event. By booking, paying for, attending or participating in the Event, Participants accept these Terms and Conditions.
James St Initiative, referred to as the Operator, is responsible for the operation and supervision of the Event and for enforcing these Terms and Conditions.
Bookings & Attendance
- Bookings are essential and places are limited.
- Participants must pay the advertised workshop fee at the time of booking to secure their place. Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been successfully received.
- Workshop fees are payable per participant, unless otherwise stated on the booking page.
- Participants must attend the workshop session date and time they have booked.
- Participants must arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be permitted entry once the session has commenced and may forfeit their place.
- No-shows will be treated as a forfeited booking.
- Workshop fees are non-refundable for late arrivals, no-shows, change of mind or failure to attend the booked session.
- No more than 16 participants are permitted in each James St Cake Haus workshop session.
- Switching places with other participants is not permitted. Bookings are not transferable without prior written approval from the Operator or Event staff.
- The Operator reserves the right to amend, cancel or reschedule workshop sessions if required due to operational, safety, weather, staffing or other circumstances outside of its reasonable control. Where a session is cancelled by the Operator, Participants will be offered a refund, credit or transfer to an alternate available session where possible.
Allergies, Safety & Supervision
- All persons enter and participate at their own risk.
- Food items used in this activity may contain or come into contact with wheat, gluten, eggs, nuts, milk, soy and other allergens. Participants should refer to the ingredient information provided at the Event and ask Event staff for more information before participating.
- Participants with allergies, intolerances, dietary requirements or medical conditions are responsible for assessing whether they can safely participate. The Operator cannot guarantee that food items, ingredients or equipment have not come into contact with allergens.
- Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and active supervision of children within their care at all times. Event staff will not take responsibility for supervising minors.
- Participants may be required to sanitise their hands before participating in the workshop session and must follow all hygiene, food safety and workshop instructions provided by Event staff.
Event Rules
- Participants must check in with Event staff before entering the Event space.
- Participants must not enter the Event space until they have been registered and checked in for their booked workshop session.
- Participants must keep entry and exit areas clear at all times.
- Participants must not sit, stand or climb on any walls, fencing, counters, props, equipment or set pieces.
- Participants must not move any bollards, barriers, signage, furniture, props or Event equipment.
- Food, drinks, bags, trolleys, prams, headphones, mobile phones or other personal items are not permitted inside the workshop area unless approved by Event staff.
- Equipment and materials must be used for their intended purpose only.
- Participants must be courteous and respectful of all patrons, participants, Event staff and venue staff, and follow all instructions given by James St Cake Haus Event staff, the Operator and venue security.
- The Operator reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person from the Event for unsafe behaviour, offensive behaviour, failure to supervise children, failure to follow instructions, damage to property or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Liability, Medical Assistance & Media
- The Operator, its employees, contractors and agents shall have no liability for personal injury, loss, damage or death suffered by a Participant arising in connection with the Event, including participation in workshop activities, the Event space, equipment, set pieces or surrounding areas.
- Participants acknowledge that participation in the Event may involve inherent risks and accept those risks.
- Participants authorise the Operator to take reasonable steps to protect their welfare in the event of injury, including administering first aid or seeking medical assistance where required.
- Participants consent to the Operator photographing or filming them, or any minor accompanied by them, while at the Event for promotional purposes, including social media, digital, print and other media, without compensation or payment.
Personal Information
- Participants may be required to provide their name, email address, phone number, postcode, payment details and relevant booking information to participate in the Event.
- Personal information collected as part of the booking and registration process will be used to administer the Event, manage bookings, process payments, communicate with Participants and support the safe operation of the Event.
The Event begins at 10am on Sunday 26 July 2026 and concludes at 4pm on Sunday 26 July 2026.
Workshop session dates and times are as listed on the James St Cake Haus booking page and are subject to availability.
